Athens University of Economics and Business, among the top Universities in the fields of Finance and Business Administration, according to the US News International Ranking List

The International Ranking List of Universities US News Best Global Universities Subject Rankings 2018 classifies Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) as one of the top in the scientific fields it covers. This year's list ranked 1,375 higher education institutions in 22 scientific fields.
 
More specifically, AUEB is ranked 181st among the top 200 Universities worldwide in the field of Economics and Business for 2018. It is noteworthy that, in the respective 2017 ranking, AUEB ranked 195th.
 
For the above ranking to be produced, data from the Web of Science database is obtained, such as the reputation of the University in specialized fields, the number of publications, the number of citations, the impact of the references, the number and percentage of publications which are in the top 1% amongst the most heterogeneous references, the number and percentage of the top 10% top-of-the-line publications, as well as the percentage of publications from international collaborations.
 
On the occasion of the above distinction, Professor Emmanouil Giakoumakis, Rector of the Athens University of Economics and Business, said: "This international recognition is the result of many years of effort by its members, often in particularly difficult circumstances. If we succeed in eliminating adversity and alleviating difficulties, the results will be even better and our international recognition even stronger".
