The global immersion program of William & Mary – Raymond A. Mason School of Business Executive MBA is organized in Athens in cooperation with the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Rajiv Kohli, the John. N. Dalton Professor of Business, William & Mary,  together with eighteen students-high level professionals, participate in the program organized in cooperation with the AUEB Vice Rector of International Cooperation and Growth Professor Vasilios Papadakis.

 

   

The program which is one week long, started on 10/25/2021 with talks by

Marianthi Anastasatou, Economist, Bank of Greece, who described the Greek crisis, how we managed to get out of it and the prospects of the Greek economy

Professor Nikos Vettas, General Director of the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research IOBE, who focused on the business environment, the sectors that contribute to the Greek economy and discussed proposals for a strategy for investment / strengthening of specific sectors of the Greek economy that have the potential to give a significant boost to growth dynamics,

and the presentation of the Pfizer Global Center for Digital Innovation by

Nico Gariboldi, Senior Director, Pfizer GCDI

Anastasia Matonaki, Senior Project Manager at Pfizer GCDI

Gelly Iliopoulou, HR Manager, Pfizer CDI

Dimitris Papakonstantinou, Finance Partner, Pfizer CDI.

 

On 26/10/21 the program included a visit of the team to the Athens Exchange Group where they rang the bell and took part in talks by

Socrates Lazaridis, CEO of ATHEX, and Rozita Terlixidou, CEO's office at ATHEX, on: Stock Markets Outlooks, the Present, and Challenges

Dimitris Karaiskakis, COO ATHEX and Dimitris Gardelis, IT Systems Development Director at ATHEX, on: ATHEX Digital Strategy

and

Professor Georgios Doukidis, AUEB, on: Digital Transformation in the post-Covid Era

 

   

The program continued at the Ministry of Digital Governance where they had the opportunity to attend the presentation of the Minister of State and Digital Governance Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis on Transforming the Greek State.

 

 

On 27/10/21 the program continued with a visit to APIVITA with presentation on: Sustainability and Growth in the Natural Cosmetics Industry, by

Anagnosti John Choukalas, Head, Apivita HR and Sotiris Pastras, CSR Manager

    

    

  

This was followed by a visit to the OTE Group, where the team attended the presentation

by the President and CEO Michael Tsamaz, on: The Transformation of Greek Telecom Organization

and participated in a discussion with the OTE Group Managers.

At the visit participated the Rector of AUEB Professor Dimitris Bourantonis and the Vicerector of International Cooperation and Growth Professor Vasilios Papadakis.

 

      

 

On 29/10 the participants attended presentations by Tassos Vamvakidis, Commercial Director and Panagiotis Zerefos, CFO of Piraeus Container Terminal S.A - China Ocean Shipping Company, Limited - COSCO.

 

The program ended with the presentation on Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Greece by Associate Professor Katerina Pramatari, Founder of the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - ACEin.
