Department of Communications
The Department of Communications of the Athens University of Economics and Business is responsible for the design and implementation of the communication strategy and programmes of the university, with the aim of enhancing its image and presence.
The work of the Department of Communications includes:
Managing and strengthening the university's image and presence:
- Uniform and unified image of the university on all its physical and digital channels
- Uniform and unified image of the university on all its structures
- Management of the internal and external activities of the university, with the aim of enhancing its image
- Planning and managing the communication of the university's image internally and externally, based on the pillars of its strategy
- Managing the image of the university's management
Communication strategy and programmes:
- Editing the production of information material and special publications, organizing press conferences, drafting press releases for major events/activities and promoting them in the media
- Promotion of the university's educational, scientific, research and other activities in the media and on the university's channels
- Organising and conducting ceremonies, celebrations, lectures, conferences, anniversaries, banquets and other events of the university by physical and/or electronic means and the maintenance of relevant administrative, vocal, photographic and electronic records
- organisation of ceremonies for the awarding of titles granted by the university
- Promotion of collaborations and joint actions with public bodies and with private sector bodies and companies, in order to exploit and promote the expertise available to the university
- Management of the university's website with content creation, design and configuration of pages, promotion in search engines, monitoring of traffic data and preparation of relevant reports
- Developing and managing social networks and other modern communication media by creating content and writing texts, monitoring social network metrics and reporting
- Developing illustrations, logos, visual identity elements, newsletters and video scripts using specific software
- Monitoring of daily press publications or other media related to the university
Communication with the public:
- Maintain contact details with each target audience
- Maintaining a record of contact details of each target audience.
- Organising and conducting ceremonies, celebrations, lectures, conferences, anniversaries, receptions and other events of the university, aimed at developing the relationship of each audience with the university, as well as maintaining relevant administrative, voice, photographic and electronic records
